Our team of experienced carpenters manufacture our stair materials and components from select and better grade hardwood to give you quality products you can depend on.

Our stair components generally come in oak or birch options; however like most of our products we are able to customize using other species of wood, just ask.

Treads

You won’t find veneers or press wood in our treads. Our treads are made to the dimensions you require for your space.

Posts

Your stairs can become a feature of your home, and the posts are no exception for creating that focal point. We make many of our stair posts at our facility and have the ability to customise to almost any style or taste. If one of the many options shown on our product page doesn’t suit your needs, simply send us a photo and we can recreate your vision for your space.

Spindles

Spindles, also known as balusters, are important components in any stair case. While metal spindles seem to be the popular choice of many of our customers, we cannot deny the never-dying elegance of a wood spindle. When looking for a painted look, we recommend a birch spindle to give you a smooth, grain-free finish. Our wood spindles are made in-house by our experienced team.

Rails

Handrails can be fairly standard, however we have created a couple of options to choose from. Like most of our stair components, our rails are made from 100% solid wood and have the strength to outlast years of wear and tear.

Bull Nose

The piece of wood that runs along your landing and at the top of your stairs is called a bull nose, sometimes referred to as bullnosing. Our bull nose is 100% solid wood and comes in a variety of widths to allow for your posts and spindles to sit on.

Trim

While you may not think of trim when it comes to stair components, our stair trims are a neat and tidy way of finishing your stairs and covering any seams. Their job is to go unnoticed while adding the small details to complete your stairs.

Risers and Stringers

The back part of your stair tread is called a riser, as it covers the rise of your stairs. Our risers are typically made from ¾” birch or oak plywood to maximum structural integrity. Some installers prefer ½” risers or even ¼” if they’re covering an existing material.

The stringers are the section of your stairs that carry the load of your stairs from the side and are visible. We make our stringers from ¾” or ½” top-grade birch or oak plywood. Carriage boards are similar, but are hidden underneath your treads, are typically made from ¾” D-grade plywood.

We cut all our risers and stringers to the sizes you require or we can supply full sheets of plywood for the installer to cut themselves.

Finishing

We have an extremely talented finishing team who works hard to create the look and finish that will impress.

Our commercial grade finish is a durable top coat to last years of footsteps. We have the creative ability to colour match your stairs to your flooring, to add consistency throughout your home.

We manufacture and supply a huge variety of shop components.
